Benefits of moving Tournaments from eteamz to Active.com
Tournaments moving from eteamz to Active.com - how does this benefit me?
-
-
Active.com is the leading online community for people who want to discover, learn about, share, register for and ultimately participate in activities. Therefore:
1. Joining with Active.com will provide you with a larger set of search results.
2. Active.com’s search technology provides more fields to filter on, so while it provides you more results, it will also give results that are more specific to your needs.
3. The user experience on Active.com has been updated to make it more intuitive for you to post and search for a tournament. -

I don't see the benefit. When I would use the old eteamz site I would get 8 pages of tournaments for my search criteria, now I get one tournament.
-
-
This isn't easier or helpful. The old tournament search was easy to search by state to get complete results based on age group. Not see this done easier here.

Bill and Jeff are right. All the tournaments and round robins that were already in the systems seemed to have vanished. Now there are only two 14U tournaments.
-
-
I agree with Bill, Jeff, and chicagofireworks. It seems you have taken a perfectly good system and screwed it up. I do a search for fastpitch tournaments in Illinois and find only four. Of those four, two of them are actually baseball tournaments. What happened to the hundreds of tournaments that were already in the system. I want to add my own two tournaments but am hesitant to do so.

Thank you Ken, chicagofireworks, Jeff and Bill -
Your feedback has helped us identify a problem with our mappings of Softball tournaments. We're currently working on the fix and expect to have things straightened out shortly.
If any of you experienced issues in a tournament category other than Softball, please let us know. -

Boo... I went from viewing 10 pages of Georgia tournaments to now a list of 3 tournaments. How can this be seen as an improvement? Can you please merge the previous site's listing into this new format
-

Hi CoachNick,
We're very close to having the eteamz softball tournaments properly merged with Active.com. Thank you for alerting us of this problem; but please try back shortly. Jason -

We are working to resolve this inconvenience as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can find softball tournaments by keyword search.
Visit http://search.active.com and enter, for example "fastpitch softball tournament GA" -

Please, for everyone's sake and the tournament seeker community stop screwing with the system and take it back to the old way of doing it. It worked and we all used it about 10 times daily. Now I try not to use it because it sucks so bad. You all have done a great job of pushing coaches away from the site. Please change it back!!!!!!!
-
-
And, don't try to give me a reply like the rest of the ones you have on this thread. When you have not a single person on here that likes it, that should tell you that the product is no good. At this time active.com means that I am actively looking elsewhere for my tournaments. Let me know when it is changed back to the old format and I will return to your site......good bye.

yuk! yuk!....noway better! put it back like it was!!!!!

Eteamz was well organized and user friendly. Active.com is a low grade replacement and it's very frustrating to use...it's not an upgrade but a downgrade. It's really too bad...Eteamz was a better site than softballtournaments.com and fastsports.com, but they both are still better than Active.com. Why did they switch? Guess we will have to use the other sites now.

Hello Joe,
Which features of the eteamz tournament search do you miss most? -
-
-
-
-
Jason Aloia since you are the official active.com reprehensive then this is your problem. You have completely screw this up. A good company would have tested a new product to ensure all or most of the problems have been resolved before launching to the public who depended on the eteamz system for the past 10 plus years. Most people don't like changes but will accept it if it don't complicate their way of doing things but, Jason what you have done it a complete train wreck. You failed to do your homework on the product that your padding yourself on your back for. Change the product back to eteamz, get out in the field and do you research before attempting to do this again.
-
Ice Man,
Mistakes were admittedly made and I do take responsibility for them.
It would be more helpful if you would please reply with specific errors or difficulties you are experiencing with the tournament search as it is today, since it is now much improved, -

Jason...are there any plans to consider going back to the eteamz.com way of doing things?? If not, I need to move on to other sources

I do not like this site at all. Does anyone else know where you can go to find a list of tournaments by age? I have a 10U player and 12U player in GA and I use to use this site weekly....now it is a waste of time. Plus has anyone tried to use it on a blackberry....if not let me tell you...just forget it!!!!!

I list tournaments that I host, and locate 10-12 tournaments to play in per year. I have never used anything but eteamz to do either BUT now will be forced to go elsewhere for both b/c it is a horrible site with zero benefits.
This opinion is the same with the dozens of coaches that I am in contact with on a regular basis. You all better change it back before all of us find a better way!! -
-
I would agree with many of the comments that have been made. The new active.com web site is not nearly as user firendly as the old eteamz site. If I am looking for all the 12U boy's baseball tournaments in Illinois...it used to be very easy to see EVERY listing by clicking a few boxes. Now I cannot find anything. Frustrated and not sure what to do.
-
Everything about the Active and tournaments is very frustrating. I have a tournament posted that I can't even locate, yet I find several repeats of the same tournaments. I spoke with the active people and they have no plans to change the system or revert back to the Eteamz version which worked wonderfully in the past. I am definitely finding a new way to post my tournament and locate others.
